I was referring to the Essential spotlight camera but I would be interested about the same question for light itself as well...

The Arlo Essential Camera can only be paired with a your router's 2.4 GHz WiFi band or a Base Station/SmartHub.

The Arlo Security Light is paired with your Arlo Security Bridge, which can be paired with your router's 2.4 GHz WiFi band.
