I have a new Arlo Wire-Free Smart Security Light mounted 3 feet closer to the router than a new Arlo Pro Wire-Free Camera. The Security Light says it is not connected to the Wifi. But the Pro Camera connects fine.

Do the Arlo Wire-Free Smart Security Lights have a shorter range for seeing Wifi than the Pro Cameras?

The lights use the bridge to connect which uses Bluetooth Low Energy. That has a range of up to ~150 feet so less than WiFi but still generally quite adequate. Obstructions can affect the distance just as with WiFi. Moving either the bridge or the light can make a big difference when it comes to any kind of interference/obstruction.

Thanks for the help. Would you know if the light bridge needs to be directly in an outlet? Do power strips hinder the function of the light bridge?

Unless the power strip somehow blocks the signal to the lights, it should work fine. Check the direction the signal has to take between the bridge and light to make sure the strip isn't physically in the way.
