&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The base creates a closed wifi network, and your cameras are connecting to that network.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;However, it is possible that one of the mesh elements is closer to your cameras than the modem.&amp;nbsp; In that case, you might want to move the base to one of the mesh elements.&amp;nbsp; I have two bases myself, and one is connected to an Orbi satellite.&lt;/P&gt;
