2 questions about Arlo security systems

Moving away from Ring cameras and alarm. Arlo cameras: great. But 2 questions to confirm my research about Arlo alarms:

There are no Arlo range extenders for alarms? The only option is to, basically, use a 2nd base station unit to create a 2nd alarm system in my house, so with Arlo I have to have two entirely separate alarm systems to cover my house? Really? Seems like an odd miss on Arlo's part.
Only option for window open/close sensors are all-in-one sensors, which are much larger and more expensive than non-Arlo options for windows?

Just want to confirm if I have missed anything in my research so far.

Correct. Only Arlo devices can be used, and the only sensor is the all-in-one sensor.

You'd need to add a second keypad, but the system overall would still function as a single system. ("Base station" is a ambiguous term, since it generally means a base/smarthub for the cameras - something else altogether).

Also, in case this helps, Arlo has a wire free keypad that connects to the keypad sensor hub to extend that range in case maybe you wanted a device downstairs and upstairs, different rooms etc. You can find that here
