I just purchased a security system with two sensors. I have 3 cams outside my home plus front door cam. But my question is more for the Fire/smoke detector option.

I have a small 1,000 sq ft home, and my fire/smoke detector is hardwired, in all rooms of the home. When 1 goes off they all go off. But when I "bake" anything in the oven, the heat from the stove makes my smoke detector go off. Will this cause me issues? I don't need the fire department here every single time I bake anything. 🙂 lol

Will I have an issue?

The CO/Smoke detection feature in the cameras listens for the smoke detector chirps. So it will trigger when the hardwired smoke detectors go off.

So you could have an issue here if you have the professional monitoring subscription.

The sensors work great. Just don't put them in the oven. Lol. What I do with these sensors is do a dry run living with them before I set them to Emergency mode. But congrats! It's a great little security system! I had a battery backup battery go crazy and it created this high pitched noise and Arlo thought it was the smoke alarm, but I quickly killed the alarm and there were no pissed off firemen.

Which I guess means you are focussed on the security system sensors. Those also are listening for smoke detector sounds. Not sure if they if they will react to your detector sounding, but I suspect they also are listening specifically for the chirp pattern - repeating 3 beeps for fire, repeating 4 beeps for CO.

You can enable/disable the feature for each sensor if you need to. But there is no way to automate that, so it cannot be something you schedule.

FWIW, I agree with @RichWood that waiting a bit before enabling the emergency mode is a good way to make sure you aren't getting false alarms.
