Arlo Sensor Integration Issue with Google Home

Hello everyone,

I'm encountering an issue with integrating my Arlo smart home security "sensors" with Google Home, and I'm hoping someone here might be able to offer some guidance or troubleshooting tips.

I have a setup consisting of Arlo door/window sensors and motion sensors. While I've successfully configured the door/window sensors to work with Google Home and receive notifications for door open/close events, I'm facing difficulties with the motion sensors.

Despite setting up the motion sensors in the Arlo app and ensuring they're configured correctly, I'm unable to receive motion detection notifications through Google Home. It seems that Google Home is not recognizing the motion sensor triggers.

I've tried searching online for solutions, but most resources seem to focus on Arlo cameras rather than the sensors themselves.

As you can see from the picture, this device is set up as a motion sensor within the Arlo app. However, in Google Home, it's being recognized as a door sensor.

Has anyone else experienced a similar issue with Arlo sensors and Google Home integration? If so, I would greatly appreciate any advice or insights you could share on resolving this issue.

At this time the behavior you are exoeriencing is the expected behavior. I have notified the appropriate team for an enhancement to allow for this feature. I will update this thread with any new info if changes are made.
