Camera transmission fall out

I think I have the Arlo Go2 model camara's installed by Securitas, about 6-8 months ago one of my camera's stopped or gave intermittance notifications to my phone, it just happened to be the one on the entrance to the property.

I have swopped the camera over to another location and the camera is fine.

Battey is all good, wifi reasonable signal same as the camera I swopped over for so I am a little bemused as to why this camera is not working in the location it has been working in for almost 2 years.?

I got a new phone Iphone 16 in November still no joy, my other phone was a 12, I have checked and the VPN is off logged on to the same wifi as before, so not sure whats happening here.

and assistance would be gratefully appreciated.

Just a guess but it may be that the WiFi is being interfered with by another wireless device that also uses the 2.4GHz band. Also, since this camera is a Go 2, do you really mean WiFi or are you using the cellular service capability? I happen to have my Go 2 connected to only WiFi but the typical connection is cellular.

I have just done a bit more searching as I was just going by the picture, seems I have VMC2030 camera's I brought a wifi booster today and put it as near to the camera as possible but still no luck seems the same. if I go to take the camera down it will sent me a notification.?

I have not changed a thing since securitas installed it.

Can you let us know what your wifi upload speed is at the camera location? You can test this using your phone with the free Ookla Speedtest app. Make sure you turn mobile data off when you run the test.

I am getting 314 & 243 on the internal walls to the camera's but only 0.30 under the camera ?

this would obviously be the issue but I was getting a much better signal previously as I have had conversations with the electrician and Gardener's before.

What was the model of the booster you purchased?

It was a TP TL-WA850RE I think I will need to look at getting an external out door long range Extender something like a TPlink EAP650 or AX3000, maybe a Wavlink AX3000.

or put in a hard wired Camera system?

have to have a think about it ?

but thanks for your help, was a little blindsided by this working then not, still not sure why but a least I understand what needs to be done.
