Question about turning Go 2 off

There is a way to turn the Go 2 off remotely. My question is, how is it still remotely accessible if truly powered off? Does it just go into a low power state for some brief period of time before truly turning 100% off, and then it's rendered fully inaccessible?

It isn't fully off when you use that setting. As you suggest, it is in a low power state - maintaining its network connection so it can respond to cloud commands.

FWIW, a lot of modern electronics are not completely when you power them down.

Does it ever fully turn off, or can I expect that if I power it off, I will be able to remotely access and power it back on weeks later?

Additionally, I've looked and can't find this, but would like to confirm: Is there no automation/routine that will allow me to trigger turning the device on/off?

It isn't using much power, but the battery will eventually drain. At that point it will power off.

No idea how long that will take - it could depend in part on the quality of the mobile connection.

There is no way to turn the device off. But disarming it has a similar effect, as the camera's power use is much less than when the camera is armed.

Can you further explain "disarming?" Is that an actual functional state to place the camera in, or are you just describing the act of disabling motion alerts?

If you see "Feed" and "Dashboard" in your app menu, then placing the system in Standby disarms the camera. If instead you see "Library", then there is a Disarm control.

Either way, it is disabling both motion and audio detection for the camera.
