Receiving all notifications

With the last update, I noticed that my phone started notifying me for every type of motion alert. I currently only have a few of them turned on, but how do I get this to stop? I’m having to mute all of the alerts otherwise I’m getting notified every two minutes or so when a car drives by.

Smart Notifications won't stop other notifications, they just identify certain subjects. You may want to turn notifications off in your modes and rules.

I should only be getting text alerts for people, packages and animals prior to last weeks update

now I am getting notifications for all of them?
Looking at my automation it set exactly as described above?

Can you please send a screenshot of the settings you have for notifications/rules under routines/modes?

so the app should only be texting me notifications for people, packages, and animals. With the notifications unmuted, I am getting push notifications for all types, including motion.

Is there a way you can create an activity zone so the camera is not catching the movement of vehicles going by? That way we can see if that changes the amount of notifications of movement you are receiving.

Not really

I can tell you that I have had issues with getting ALL of the notifications via push.

I have also had issues in the past where I never got them. Their should be an old ticket referencing this.

i restarted the camera but no changes.

Sorry I wasn’t understanding the ask. You wanted me to reposition the camera which I cannot easily do. So I will create an activity zone today and leave the smart notification to alert me for people only to see if it keeps sending me all notifications.

When I go look at routines and then go to notifications. It goes right to the smart notification menu, which shows me it should alert me for people only at the moment. I paired down smart notifications for people only but like I said, I’m getting all notification so we’ll see if activities zone that doesn’t point to the street makes a difference or not.

Ok so I did an activity zine this morning and had my smart notifications set up for people only. I got zero alerts. And I got zero recordings. I had vehicles pass through the gate today. Shouldn’t I be getting notifications?

If you have it set for people only it will not recored the vehicles unless you have it set to do so or have it set for all motion.

With the activities zone set up and if I turn on all motion, is it then going to send me a Push notification for every motion recording done? Previously, it would record all motion and not alert me when I did not have the activity zone set up. Which is what I want.

Under routines you where you have the camera's set up you can have it record motion for each camera that you are wanting and then just not have it send a notification. Under the actions where it says send notification make sure that is turned off.

I July have one camera whether I go to routines or smart notifications it’s the same screen labeled as object detection

I want it to record all motion but I don’t want to be notified unless it’s people package or animal and anything in my smart detection

If you have it marked as all motion, it will send you a notification for all motion. If you want it for just smart detections you would have to just choose the smart detections. There is no way to only send a notification for the smart detections and not for the motion as well.

OK so a couple of updates for this ticket. I added the activities zone with the people package and animals push notifications turned on as well as a smart notifications and that made zero difference in terms of getting notifications. I got all the motion ones including the ones I wanted. So I deleted the activity zone. Another suggestion was to remove the notifications from the automation which I did. I think I removed them all at one point

and then adding back only what I wanted in terms of notifications and then it seemed to be working properly. I ended up getting only what I wanted.

I think in terms of this ticket, I will close it, but I see Now, at this point, it recognizes people in the feed, but I’m not getting push notifications. Basically no push notifications

this ticket can be closed
