I have a monthly subscription for 5 cameras and am contemplating buying an Arlo Go 2. Can I add the Arlo Go 2 to my current Arlo Hub Pro 3? Alternatively, can I move all existing cameras to Arlo Secure? If neither of these are doable, what would my monthly subscription costs be for the 5 cameras I already have on a subscription plus the new Arlo Go 2.

Yes, you can cancel your current subscription and get an Arlo Secure subscription instead.

Details depend on where you live, so you should go to Arlo.com, and look at the security plans listed for your country there.

The Go 2 will also need a mobile data plan, and that is NOT included in the Arlo secure subscription.

I want to use the 24/7 monitoring.

Are you talking about this?

That comes with its own hardware (the Arlo Security system plus two Essential Gen 2 cameras). You should be able to add the Go 2 camera to it with no additional subscription cost - I'm tagging @JamesC so he can confirm.

If you only want the Go 2 camera, you can instead get the Arlo Secure Premium subscription, which also includes 24/7 monitoring.

@StephenB I keep reading conflicting info about this.

I plan to use the LTE (not wifi) of the camera. I think with wifi it's supported, but not with LTE? I'd like to confirm though if possible.

If you use cell service, WiFi is just used as a backup. You can use both at the same time.

The problem is that 24/7 monitoring is not available if you're using LTE.

Unless I'm mistaken. There is no info on it.

What do you mean by 24/7 monitoring? If you're referring to CVR, that would likely be true but normal activity (detection causing recording) will work on either connection.

The camera isn't what the monitoring is for - that's for the Security System with a separate security hub and sensors. If you have no plans to purchase that system, you don't need that plan.

24/7 professional monitoring does require that you have the Home Security system, not just the cameras. Check the footnotes at the bottom of the page.
