Record for a Fixed Length of Time

I had the 10sec limit, I incresed it to 120sec. If I tic off the " Record for a Fixed Length of Time" box will it record longer than the 120sec limit?

Only if motion remains detectable by the camera. Lots of folks like to think that motion has continued but they fail to understand that the CAMERA has to think so. I've found that loss of the camera detection for >5 seconds results in the recordings stopping.

After a brief rest period (5-10 seconds) after the previous video has been uploaded. Same is true for any recording. Of course, motion has to trigger the recording.

That depends on your needs and the exact situation. The long fixed time may do what you need but if you can more or less guarantee that motion will continue and be detectable then th eother setting may be useful. Test various scenarios and pick what suits you best.

I see the answer to my question, but I can’t find mention of where in the app you can change recording time....what menu item is the length of videos accesbile from? Thank you !

Read the FAQs here on changing recording time, creating and modifying modes and rules, etc. Lots of detailed info here.

Use the Mode tab, click on your camera and edit your modes. Be sure to save.

I cant tick off the fixed time anymore, just increase or decrease the time from 10 sec to 120 sec. Is the function only when motion remomed?
