The battery fails to charge after several months. It has been connected to a power source consistently & remotely indicated discharging and failed to function.

attempted to purchase a new battery, but was sent a smaller version, that did not work in camera. I don’t know whether the camera has malfunction or the charging system has failed. I ordered batteries from Arlo and ATT, both were not the correct size. They were smaller in volume. Can’t find the original battery: model A-2 P/N308-10030-01

The Go batteries, as you've seen, are deeper. The batteries you've received are for the Pro cameras. While it's possible that the battery is at fault, rather than buying batteries open a case with support here. They are the ones that can help with hardware issues.
