Fwiw, I have a Pro camera aimed at my idiot neighbor and, while it has a lot of background noise, picks up noise at 25 feet, +/-.

Obviously, it depends on lots of variables. Loud exclamations with minimal background noise would help.

put it this way.......... you will not use it at 100%. I have mine set at 25% and it still catches cars driving by 30 feet way.....
