Idea suggestion.

Could you release a motion detector only?

If they could be small, battery operated, and outdoor ready. That would help with delay in recording on cameras as it would help trigger recording much sooner than the camera could detect on its own.

For example, on my long driveway, I could place the motion detector on the beginning of the driveway to trigger recording of the camera on the end of the driveway. This way, I catch the subject as they are walking up the driveway. Otherwise, this camera currently serves the purpose of motion detection to trigger recording on back door.

This would make the Arlo system awesome.
