As noted in various responses here as well in the FAQs, edit your modes. Use the Mode tab, click on your base or Q camera, and look at the available modes. By default there is only the Armed mode to modify but that's not recommended so create a new mode. Set up the first camera as you desire and save. Reedit it to add additional cameras. When done, activate that mode.

The Armed mode can be changed to disable notifications but it's better to leave it alone so you have something "pure" to refer to or to use as a troubleshooter.
