Before moving it, I would try and turn the camera 90d clockwise so it's on its side....

I know it sounds strange, but i think in your case it might respond better to movement that way.

At least it's an easy thing to try...

Any of the normal vid/jpg prgms out there can flip the picture back if needed tho it may be anoying watching it.

I'm having some problems trying to get motion detection to work well with my camera mounted over my front door overlooking the alley way between townhomes. My home is on the left of this photo and it seems that if someone enters from the left (my driveway area), I won't see them on video until they are just about middle ways to my front door pass the two plants. I have my camera mounted exactly 8 feet high so no one can touch it. Should I try mounting the camera at an angel in a different location. If so, where in this walkway. My motion is set at 90% because anything else higher will just keep giving me false motion detections.

Thanks in advance....

Arlo does A HORRIBLE job detecting subjects that approach the camera. By the time it does detect motion the subject will be out of recorded view. The only way that I got mine to work was to install a second camera. I use that camera as a motion detector to trigger recording on BOTH cameras once motion is detected.
