What kind of device are you using? Andrioid or iOS?
Is the notification you are receiving through the Arlo app, or did you setup text notifications.

I am using an iPhone 5. (iOS) The notifications seem to be coming from the Arlo App.

Hello,

The notificiations being received from the Arlo App are called push notifications.

In order to disable your push notifications on iOS 5, take a look at the article provided below:

The article also describes how you would enable the push notifications as well for future reference.

to turn off text messgs...

Yes, you can turn off email....

go to SETTINGS, RULES for the camera in question

down the right page see Send EMAILS to this LIST... click on " > "

Click on the "check" mark to toggle on or off ( green is active )

HIT SAVE ON EXIT

This solves my problem for my iOS device.

Since it's built into the rule, it affects any device. The alert that is particular to the device is for the iOS/Android apps where you have to enable/disable the alert on that device in the system settings for the Arlo app itself.
