I was wonderng how these cameras decide what to show during 'Preview' mode. When I am checking the recordings I really dont want to go and play every single video especially since I record a lot so how do these cameras capture the object in preview?

For example when i scroll through the videos I just click on the left and right on the screen and scroll through them. When i see an object/person/animal in that view i then play the video. How do these cameras decide what goes in that capture and when to capture the object? How does that work?

Thanks All.

I think you're just asking about the still image ("preview") shown in the library. Empirically, I see an image from about 1 second after the video starts. That's true every time so it's not like there's an algorithm that shows a moving object - it presupposes that motion has already started.

Yeah that what I was referring to. I really dont want to play every single video that is recorded i only want to play the ones that have a still image. It can be time consuming going through each video i just wanted to know how the process works in recording motion.
