Have tryed pointing camera downwards more but still picks up everything. Can't do with 140 emails every day that don't mean anything. Can anyone help???? Tim

Create a new (custom) mode with one rule each for your cameras. Each rule allows a sensitivity setting from 1 to 100. Play around with this parameter until your motion detection works the way you want it.

If it still doesn't work for you, consider repositioning and/or reorienting the camera. Point your camera down further so that roads and/or sidewalks are outside the camera's field of view.

Also, consider positioning your camera so that it points towards your house, rather than away from it, mounting it on a structure a certain distance away from your house - even a tree could work.

One other thing you may want to try before repositioning is to simply mount the camera upside down (and inverting the image on the camera's settings page). In some cases this has the desired effect. In addition, others have mounted a small homemade visor on the underside to limit the field of view of the motion sensor that is located below the camera lens.
