Not the recommended way to get around this but you can try the following:

1) Google search "arlo 1.8.2_9020 apk download" without the quotes

2) Download the apk file to your device.

3) Go into the device settings and find the Security settings. In there enable Unknown Sources (a security hole).

4) Locate the apk file using a file manager (I use ES File Explorer) and scan it with every antivirus/malware scanner you have installed. If you don't have any do it now!

5) Once scanned, install the package by clicking on it and use the Package Installer.

6) Go back into device settings and disable Unknown Sources.

That should get you the latest software but you're on your own for maintaining and updating it.

The Arlo app can be found on Amazon apps//games to download to other devices but mentions that it is not compatible with Kindle Fire.

Will there be an Arlo app made for Kindle Fire os?

Kindle Fire (1st. Generation) maybe that is why it is not offered in the App store for the device.

Thanks for the insight!
