Once the person you granted access to accepts the invitation, the status will change from pending and will no longer expire. The invitations only expire if they are not accepted.

Take a look at this article for complete instructions on how to utilize the Grant Access feature: How do I add friends to my Arlo account?

I saw a notice on my Arlo screen this morning, saying my friend access has expired. I double checked my system and with my friend, and the access is still on. So not sure why there is this message from Arlo. Maybe a glitch. I cannot find anywhere (in the manual or here at forum) if friend access has a time limit. The moderator here says "no longer expire". So thats that.

Where are you seeing this message? If you are seeing it on the Grant Access screen, it means you have sent an invitation to a friend and that friend never accepted the invitation. When an invitation is accepted, the status will change from "pending" to "accepted" and remain accepted until that friend is deleted.

Hi JamesC, as I was checking the Home Monitor screen, a orange message flash at the top of the screen telling me "the guest invite has expired". It then disappeared and I have no time to clearly view that message. I checked the Settings screen, and it says the guest invite is still on. I have given guest permission for about 1 month. First time I see that message. Thats why I was searching the User Menu, searching on Google, etc. to see if there is a time limit on granting access. Sorry if I cannot be of more help.
