Question- Can I disengge the emial alert function. Everytime I walk past the camera I receive an email notifying me that the motion dector went off?

Mode tab, click on your base, edit your modes (Armed by default). All settings are kin there. Better yet, create your own custom mode(s) in there so you have complete control.
