Can an added Friend receive notifications?

Hello,

I purchased this camera system to keep an eye on my parent's home in another state. It is crucial for both of us to receive notifications. When I log in as a friend with the Android phone application, I can not seem to get notifications from the App.

Did I miss a setting somewhere, or are Friend notifications not allowed?

You can add multiple email addresses in the SETTINGS / RULES , pick the camera , EDIT (pencil) / SEND EMAIL ALERT 'to this list' hit ">"

Add second or third email address to list. Make sure it shows green check and HIT SAVE as you back out.

That wasn't quite the original question. I believe the OP was asking whether push notifications come through on the Android app when logged in on a friend account. I've observed this to not work too. Would be nice if it did. Is this disabled for a reason?
