Not receiving email alerts

I have the live feed up on my computer all day at work and check in periodically throughout the day.

Quite often, there'll be motion (by cat) which I will see live. But then there's no alert and nothing in the library.

I can't watch the camera all day so rely on alerts but I'm obviously missing some. I'm worried about something happening when I'm not watching (eg a break-in) and not knowing about it because a) I didn't get an alert and b) the video was not recorded and stored in the library.

Why am I not getting alerts and why is this motion not being recorded?

Turn off your live feed and go walk in front of a camera and see if it sends a notification and records some video

You WILL NOT get an alert when watching Live....watching live overides the motion activated record and alerts.

You can see this yrself... Armed the cameras and go to the live view screen...the running man should be black showing it is armed. Start a live view and the man will go gray ( disarmed ). After stopping a live view the Armed will return automatically.
