For the first video, it looks reasonably good. I'd rotate the camera down some which may help. What's the sensitivity setting in your rule?

For the second video, there's a major problem with the motion coming directly at the camera which is hard for a passive IR detector to detect. Since both cameras seem to be in the same porch, I'd suggest using nested rules:

Cam1 detects, records

Cam2 detects, records

Cam1 detects, Cam2 records

Sometimes our Arlo does not detect motion, like someone walking up to our door.

If maybe you could post a pic of what your attemping to capture, we can give better choices to help

Nested rules are what I posted above. You need to create your own mode with appropriate rules. Use the Mode tab, click on your base. Add a new rule and set up one camera to your liking. Save. Reedit the mode and add another rule for another camera. Save. Reedit and use one camera to detect motion and another to record. That's nested. Keep going until you're satisfied.
