Hello,

I bought a few Arlo cameras to watch my toddler when he's playing in the other room. I turned the motion detection off and plan to only use the live stream feature. My question is, does the camera remain on even when the app is not running? Or does it just turn on when I open the app and press play?

Thank you.

Welcome to the community! If you have motion detection turned off the camera will be in a sleep state until you click the play button to stream. If you have any other questions please ask!

Either use the individual camera On/Off switch in Settings, My Devices, your cameras or go to the Mode tab, click on your base and use the Disarmed mode.
