Motion detection Improvements for Direct Motion Towards Camera

Is Netgear actively doing anything to improve the motion detection when the subject is moving towards the camera? If so, when can improvements be expected? Left to right (or right to left) motion detection seems to be working fine, but sometimes a camera cannot be mounted to an area that allows for left to right (or right to left) motion like the side of a house for example.

That would likely require new hardware as well as software. The new Q camera uses a different strategy, pixel based, so works much differently.

I would be impressed if Netgear would be able to improve on their motion detection with their wireless camera. While they do have their Arlo Q, I hate to say but my $59 dollar plugged in wireless camera, which I save my recordings to my ftp server, captures every motion that passes in front of it and no false alarms due to its zone programming.

So, only respect for Netgear, don't count on it.
