    <description>&lt;P&gt;It's likely the distance from the camera to the people. &amp;nbsp;A moving car is a much larger target with more IR being put out so is easier to detect. &amp;nbsp;Without knowing exactly how your scenario is laid out I'd guess your only option would be to move the camera closer.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have a car i park on the street and would like to have motion detection set so if someone tries to break in I can get it on video.&amp;nbsp; Currently i have it set at 100% and it is getting cars in the background but not people next to the car.&amp;nbsp; Is there a way I can select the area of the screen I want motion detection or don't want motion detection?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Down side is that because they cover a small area, if the subject does not go there, you have nothing.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Best is to set up a combo of both.&amp;nbsp; Problem here is the Arlo is not really a 24/7 record camera so its better in the ID mode use ( the new Q cam looks like a very good activity cam as its powered and always on )&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;At this time, you choice is if possible, as mentioned, is to try and place the cam closer.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
