Check the upper corners of the FOV... the PIR seems to be more sensitive in the corners and outer edges.

Try and adjust and use to your advantage to make 'wakeup' a lot faster while eliminating the train

My motion detector is going off from the train passing through across the road. I've decreased the sensitivity to 60%. Any suggestions to eliminate this problem?

Maybe not the vibrations but movement at the edge of the field of view. I have cameras roughly 50-75 feet from a main CSX line behind my house that don't trigger due to vibrations. If the camera is truly vibrating, I'd suggest a better, more rigid mount and/or position.

I tried securing the camera, and adjusting the fov, and had a little less false alarms but still enough to make me ignore them. It kind of defeating the purpose of the camera if I'm ignoring it. I'll give it one more shot with adjustments. Unfortunately I'm past my return policy, and I'll just be out the money with nothing to show. Thanks for the advice!

cs15 wrote:

My motion detector is going off from the train passing through across the road. I've decreased the sensitivity to 60%. Any suggestions to eliminate this problem?

cs15 wrote:

My motion detector is going off from the train passing through across the road. I've decreased the sensitivity to 60%. Any suggestions to eliminate this problem?
