topic Recommendation for developers in Features

I really think there should be some motion detection programmed into the software. I mounted my cameras high and serious motion such as cars driving by and people walking in the frame are not being picked up by motion detection. If this isn't picked up by the physical motion detector, what good are these cameras? I think that the recording via motion detection should have an option to be triggered by changes in the frames pixels themselves.

You can't change the detection method without different hardware. The Q cameras in fact do have pixel-based detection but are rated only for indoor use. Some folks are trying them outdoors with protection.
