Motion Detection is not far enough to detect the postman putting mail in my mailbox.

How far is this Arlo Camera can detect motion?

While the specs are for something like 20-30 feet (you'd have to check the actual specs) the reality is that it may work at further distances. Part of the issue would be the positioning of the camera so motion is detected ACROSS the FOV rather than to/from the camera. Also, the edges seem more sensitive. Trial and error are needed to get the best location and angle to maximize detection.

I think moving trees might affect the detection, sometimes it records but there is nothing there.

Doesn't detect people passing by.
