In the Mode tab, select your system and then click on Disarmed. Now you won't record anything - you'll need to use Live View to check on things as well as to record anything.

As noted previous, the batteries will run down quickly if recording a lot. The same is true of using live view too much. You can work with your modes, rules and schedule to allow it to work for you but remember the 4 minutes per day to get the best battery life.

How many videos clips have you recorded? What is the total length of video recording? A lot of videos per day will use up the battery fast.

What is the distance between camera and base station? A long distance will use more battery power, because the camera has to work harder to connect to the base station.

Nominal use-case for the Arlo wireless cameras is a four-minute video clip per day. It will last 4-6 months then. If you have more than that, your camera won't last that long.
