motion and boiler flue

Can someone tell me if the boiler flue when its working giving off stream does it set off the motion on the arlo camera?

I am wanting to put a camera near it.

That sounds like something you'll just have to try and see if it works... don't know anyone watching their flue.

Since it's a stationary source of IR, I don't think it would detect motion. As Tom sez, you'll just have to try it.

There must be a simpler way to monitor your flue tho.... Not knowing exactly what you trying to do.

maybe the flue stack vent may move enough when it kicks on?
