Drawing a motion detection box

Is there no way to designate a certain area where you want motion to be detected like you can with most camera systems? I have a lot of cars that drive by my street and it would be great to only detect motion at my driveway instead of getting tons of useless clips of cars driving by which waste storage space and batteries. Or is this what the pan and zoom feature does?

It seems that your concern is more of a feature request that is somewhat similar to this link.
