CVR button visible but not timeline

I have some non-wired Outdoor Essential 2nd Gen cams with Plus Unlimited subscription. When I go to Devices and push the CVR button, it won’t show me anything that happened previously in the timeline and it just jumps back to LIVE.

Do these need to be wired to do CVR or is there something I’m missing?

Yes, they need to be wired. See

Arlo cameras must be plugged in to AC power to support CVR

Note CVR requires its own subscription (and is not included in Unlimited Plus).
