Essential 2K Outdoor with Google Home

I assumed the Essential 2K Outdoor cam could connect to Google Home directly. I tried, but apparently that's not working.

Diving into the Arlo website I found that a Smart Hub is needed. But the technical description of the Arlo Smart Hub VMB5000-100EUS does not mention connectivity for the Essential 2K Outdoor cam (only for the Indoor version).

Now I am lost: Smart Hub is needed for connecting the Essential 2K Outdoor to Google Home but the Smart Hub does not support the Essential 2K Outdoor???

Would appreciate some reliable technical advice.

Yes, you can connect that device to a compatible Base station or Smart Hub. I have provided the compatibility list here
