bridge vmb4000 - trying to connect an essential camera

I recently bought a 3 pack of arlo essential series camera to connect to our old VMB4000 bridge. I pressed the pairing on the camera, and the sync on the bridge, looked at my iphone ap, and the add device is inactive. how do I pair these things together? We have had the arlo on the house for a long time, but ours are not supported anymore. need help.

You start with "add device", and select the Essential Gen 2 cameras. Then you'll be able to select either connecting to wifi or the Arlo hub.

If you don't see Essential Gen 2 as a category, then Arlo likely doesn't support the cameras in your country,
