It's likely a weak connection to your router (low signal and/or 2.4GHz interference from some other wireless devices). I have lots of camera that will occasionally show corruption in a video but I can't say what caused it since it's only occasionally and at all times of the day.

My Essental 2 camera has sent a “fire detected” alert several times but there is no fire but the camera puts up a green screen recording.
<LI-PRODUCT title="Arlo Essential Camera" id="arlo-essential-camera"></LI-PRODUCT>

#fire

The fire detection is solely based on the video. I have a koi pond with a large orange koi that is occasionally identified as fire. Not often but it does happen. You can always donate your video while viewing it so the team can try to use it to fine-tune the AI. You can also disable the fire notification, if appropriate.

The green video is not related (it's corruption) but something in the remainder of the video would be the likely item ID'd as fire.

What might cause the corruption/green video? And where do I find where to turn off fire detection?

It's in the smart object detection.

Press on the profile icon in the upper left

Select Home

Select "Smart Detection"

Select the camera

You'll see "Fire" there
