How to adjust modes/Settings?

Is there any way to lenthen the time the device records once motion is detected. Right now the recordings are very short and don't show much. Also, clan the recordings start sooner? Right now the recordings start as the person is walking away. I'd like to know when someone starts walking towards the house at the bottom of my driveway.

Go into the camera settings, and then select "Default mode settings". The recording length is set there.

You could try raising the motion detection. That might not help much though. The spec'd motion detection distance is 23 feet (7m),
