Upgrade system and essential cameras

so I had to purchase a new TP link router and ended up having to reinstall the base station and my cameras. I have essential cameras and not pros. In doing this, I upgraded my Arlo to the new upgraded system. Now my cameras that were working perfectly fine prior to the upgrade and new router will not sync to my base station. is it true that with the upgraded system that the essential cameras will not work?

No.

All you should have needed to do was to connect the base to a TP-Link LAN port.

Were all the cameras connected to the base? If so, you need to get that connected first.
