vb4000v- new cameras don't record at all

So my wife ordered arlo cameras the essential outdoor 2k. I have everything hooked up but where the older cameras had a roughly 12 seconds recording the new ones don't record at all. in the feed i can pull up the old camera feed and see my videos is there a fix for this did I do something wrong in the set up I am confused

Are the new cameras still in the trial subscription plan? One way to test this is to see if you can make a manual recording while livestreaming one of the new cameras.

All currently sold cameras need a subscription to get cloud recordings. Old models (like the pro and pro 2) were sold with 7 days of free cloud storage, and Arlo does still provide that. Though it is limited to accounts with 5 or fewer unsubscribed cameras.

The other possibility is that the cameras are not armed. So check the rules in the mode(s) you are using.
