compatibility between Arlo Pro 2 and Arlo Essential 2nd generation

Hubby and I are not tech savvy so please bear with me. The existing 4 camera Arlo Pro 2 was set up for us by a neighbor several years ago. Since it was only 4 cameras we did not need to subscribe to a security plan. We would now like to add 2 cameras and have taken advantage of the holiday specials and purchased 2 of the Arlo Essential 2nd generation.

I am hoping we can integrate the new cameras into our existing system and I guess then subscribe to a security plan. Please tell me these cameras will play nice together. Please also guide me through this process. I have terrible luck with virtual assistants

You will need a plan, as the Essential Gen 2 do not have the 7-day free storage you have now.

The Essentials can connect to your home wifi, which I think will simplify setup.

But the app interface will change from what you have now (showing "Library") to a new one that shows "Feed" and "Dashboard" in the app menu.
