      <description>&lt;P&gt;Is the privacy shield Arlo's implication that its cameras aren't as secure and can be easily hacked that they need an extra layer of protection in case it happens?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;It's just to let people in the field of view know that the camera might be recording or otherwise capturing video.&amp;nbsp; Lots of folks with indoor cameras only want them active when they aren't in the room in order to protect their family's privacy.&amp;nbsp; But they could be armed by mistake.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Of course it could also warn you that the account might be hacked. FWIW, that might not be on Arlo.&amp;nbsp; If someone compromises a trusted Arlo device (either your PC or phone), then they could get access to the account w/o needing to go through two-factor authentication.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
