Have you tried just connecting your phone to your home wifi (ignoring the advice about connecting the phone to 2.4 ghz)?

My router doesn't have separate names for each frequency. Just ignoring that screen works for me - the cameras still install correctly.

Note the router does need to have 2.4 ghz turned on.
