Can Essential2 cameras turn off when they detect my cell phone ?

My old Nest camera (pre-Google) could turn on and off based on the location of my cell phone (home or away).

That was a VERY nice function option. I see a post 3 years ago that Arlo does not have that function. Does anyone know if that is in the pipeline for a future update?

It's called geofencing. You now find it under Routines, Automations, Arrive/Leave.

Trouble with setup for automation...

When I choose Routines > Automations > '+' > Add Arrive/Leave > choose a geofencing radius (and save) > Specific People Leave (my phone) and save > Then: Add an Action > Change Mode - Arm Away and save > Test Automation (checked)... SAVE IS NOT AVAILABLE.

What did I miss?

A screenshot of your automation may help. I suspect you didn't name it - click on where is says Name at the top.

Thanks, you were right. I did not name the automation :-).

It appears I need to set a routine (turn camera on) for when I'm away and a second routine to set the camera on Standby when I return inside the geofence. Is that correct?

Yup. Arrive and Leave are separate events so need separate automations.
