You still need to get a Ethernet cable. Do you have a router modem with a spare Ethernet port available, use that to connect the base station.

Just purchased a house with the system in place. Was attempting to set up the base station but realized we do not have ethernet cables, we are using WiFi as internet. Is there a way or work around to this. Thank you

Only way to use wifi for an Arlo base is to get an extender with ethernet ports....

hook the extender into the wifi, plug base into same.

I appreciate the assistance. I am not very computer savvy so do you have a recommendation for an extender.

Most extenders do have an ethernet port. Two of many that will work are

https://www.netgear.com/home/wifi/range-extenders/ex6120/

https://www.tp-link.com/us/home-networking/range-extender/re315/

Both of these plug directly into your main power, so you need to make sure you get the appropriate model for your region. You can also get free-standing extenders with power adapters if that is more convenient for you.
