Looking to purchace camera's that can be placed near the ground

I am looking at the Arlo system for additional camera's on my property. I would like a camera that can be placed near the ground to capture license plates.

Suggestions?

Pretty much any camera could do this. The trick would be to get it close enough as well as perhaps hidden sufficiently. It would also need to be in range of your WiFi or an Arlo hub. The Go 2 could be used since it can use cell service if too distant from your network or hub.

Are you trying to capture the license plates of moving vehicles, especially at night?

A few things to consider are that with ground level placement of the camera the headlights may overexpose the camera and so dull the plate, you may get better performance if the camera is pointed to capture the rear of the vehicle after it passes the camera.

The arlo Camera employs heavy digital motion compression so number plates will be blurred for motion, you would need to have the vehicle stop for a few seconds in close range of the camera so you could read the plate.
