Will Arlo Essential Wireless camera connect to a VMB3010r2 base station? Looking for an Arlo camera that can be powered by solar panel AND connect to my older VMB3010r2 base station (netgear).

Thanks JamesC!! Arlo is now impossible to contact by phone (that was not always true).

What about the Arlo Pro 4 camera? Does it require a basestation or does it connect directly to the Wi-Fi?? That might be an alternative solution, if true. Thanks again for your help!

All cameras newer than Arlo Pro 2 require a subscription to save recordings to the cloud. Arlo Pro 4 can connect to a compatible base station or directly to your home network via WiFi.

Note that the Essential (and the Pro 4 and Pro 5) can connect to your home wifi w/o needing a base station. And they can be in the same account as you are using with your existing cameras.

Though as @JamesC says, you will need a subscription to get cloud storage with any of the newer cameras.
