topic Cant set schedule to only be armed overnight in Arlo Essential Wire-Free Cameras

I have seen some other posts about scheduling to be armed overnight and the consensus is to schedule from (x)pm to 11:59pm and then again from midnight to (x)am. So the camera will be disarmed for 1 minute until it starts again at midnight. Seems to me like something that can easily be fixed instead of being given the current error of not being able to schedule the end time earlier than the start time even though that's not what everyone is trying to do. I want to schedule mine to be armed between 8pm and 6am and its odd that this isn't an option.

The issue is that the schedule is a weekly schedule not a daily schedule and so it is too complicated to make it both.

Actually it is supposed to finish the schedule entry at the end of the minute, but start at the beginning of the minute (though I haven't personally tested that). So there shouldn't be a gap.

You can test this by creating a schedule at a more reasonable time with that 1 minute "gap" to see if the system is inactive or continues to record during that time.
