      <title>VBM4000 not recording to library</title>

      <description>I cannot seem to get the base station to record to my library. There is an external storage port which I have in use, however I would like to see recordings via the app. Arlo doesn't provide support without a subscription, so I'm turning to you all.</description>

&lt;P&gt;Smarthubs aren't that easy to find - out of stock everywhere I've looked recently.&amp;nbsp; So you might need to purchase a subscription until you can find a smarthub, and cancel if after you've tried out direct access to local storage, and confirmed that it works for you.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The feature has several limitations:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;UL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;No ability to make manual recording&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;No ability to allow friend account access to the videos&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;No ability to see the videos from a PC browser&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;No thumbnails&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Remote access to videos can be tricky to set up (requires either port forwarding in your router, or a VPN connection to your router).&lt;/LI&gt;
